Defining Capacities for an Individual Part

The reported maximum capacity for an individual part is the volume of this part that can be produced given the working times defined. 


Let's begin.


To define the capacity for an individual part:


  1. Select No don't link part to a family in the Capacity Section of the Product Data Sheet.



Using the PFEP Production Family Details window that appears:


  1. Notice the Production Family ID is predefined as the part number.  The production family description is the part # description.
  2. Enter your Reported Max Capacity with appropriate units of measure selected.  Yellow indicates a required field.  Optionally, the reported max production capacity can be defined using an OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) factor.
  3. Enter Shifts per Week. 
  4. Enter Hours per Shift. 
  5. Enter Days per Week. 
  6. Enter Weeks per Year. 
  7. Enter the Reported Date by clicking the today button or if reported date is other than today's date use the calendar icon. The reported date identifies when the capacity has last been updated.
  8. Click Calculate to view annual capacity results. See Calculator Tool.
