Defining a Plant

plant is a physical location where work is performed.  Plants will typically be created automatically during the import of master data from an ERP system.  However, it maybe necessary to manually create a plant.


To add a new plant: 


  1. Using the Advanced menu, click Item Planning > Facility Layout > Plants.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the Plant name.
  4. Enter the Plant Description.
  5. Select the Location.
  6. Click Create.


To update a plant:


  1. Click the magnifying glass to select the Plant.
  2. Update the information about the plant.
  3. Click Update.


To delete a plant: 


  1. Click the magnifying glass to select the Plant.
  2. Click Delete.
