Defining the MRP Area

A MRP area is any area, internal or external to the plant, that can consume or supply an item. This applies to parts entering and leaving an area.


To add a new MRP area:


  1. Using the Advanced menu, click Item Planning > Facility Layout > MRP Area.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Name the MRP Area.
  4. Enter a Description.
  5. Select the Plant.
  6. Select the Location.
  7. Select the Production Calendar.
  8. Define the Default Production String. 
  9. Define the POU Calculation Method. 
  10. Define the POU Demand Horizon. 
  11. Click Create.


To update a MRP area: 


  1. Select the MRP Area.
  2. Update the MRP Area Details.
  3. Click Update.


To delete a MRP area: 


  1. Select the MRP Area.
  2. Click Delete. 


Note: Delete button only appears for user's with delete authorization.
