Creating a Tool Asset using the System

The system provides create capability of a new tool record from the tool listing session to authorized users.


To create a new tool asset record:

  1. Access tool tracking.   See Accessing Tool Assets.
  2. Click Add.

 

  1. Select the tool's owner by selecting from the Owner Partner drop down selection menu 
  2. Select the Asset Type from the drop down selection menu.
  3. Enter the Owner's Asset ID.
  4. Enter a Description of the tool asset.
  5. Select the supplier using the tool from the Supplier Partner drop down selection menu.
  6. Enter the Supplier's Asset ID if different from the Owner Asset ID.
  7. Define the Asset Status using the drop down menu.
  8. Click Create.
