The process of clear and slot orders clears the selected existing orders from the production schedule (Clear Orders Starting With Sequence ID) and re-loads the production string into the production schedule based on any new parameters (Schedule Relative From, Start Time, Stop Time).

To clear and slot orders: 

Option 1 - Standard Method:

1. Access the Production Plan.
2. Click Clear and Slot Orders button on the Production Plan session.
3. To clear a set of orders, enter the Sequence ID range. To clear all orders, leave the beginning sequence ID field blank and enter ZZZ in the "To" sequence ID field. 

4. Click Count Orders to Be Cleared to count the total number of orders that will be cleared. 
5. Select Schedule Relative From.
6. Select the Start Time (to begin slotting orders). 
7. Select the Stop Time. 
8. Click Clear and Slot Orders. The number of orders cleared and the number of orders scheduled will be displayed beneath the Clear and Slot Orders button.

Option 2 - Alternate Method:

• Standard takt time and production calendar are not applicable to the production environment.  
• Bypass all standard scheduling and schedule orders on a given day based only on delivery time (set by ERP). 

1. To clear a set of orders, enter the Sequence ID range beginning sequence ID field blank and enter ZZZ in the "To" sequence ID field.
2. Click Count Orders to Be Cleared to count the total number of orders that will be cleared. 

• Schedule Start and Stop Time are not applicable.

3. Click Clear and Slot by Delivery Time.
