What is a PFEP Document?

A Plan for Every Part (PFEP) document is a unique record in a database that describes various characteristics about a part being transported between a "Ship-From" location  and a "Ship-To" location.

A part may have several PFEP documents.   For example, one PFEP document could describe the characteristics of a part coming from a supplier being delivered to a customer's warehouse. Another PFEP document could describe the characteristics of the same part being transported from the customer's warehouse to the consuming plant.

If a part is consumed at multiple linefeed locations within the same plant, just one PFEP document would be used to describe the characteristics of the part at each point of use location.
