A storage location is a physical or logical location where items can be stored. For each storage location an inventory balance is maintained. Inventory is considered nettable. A preferred storage location is the designated primary storage location for the item in the MRP Area.  

To access storage locations:

1. Using the Advanced menu, click Item Planning > Facility Layout > Storage Location.

 

To add a new storage location:

1. Select the MRP Area.
2. Click Add.
3. Name the Storage Location.
4. Enter the Description.
5. Select Nettable.
6. Enter the Pick Sequence.
7. Select the Internal Route.
8. Click Create.

 

To edit the details of a storage location:

1. Select the Storage Location.
2. Edit the storage location details.
3. Click Update.

 

To update multiple storage locations:

1. Select the MRP Area.
2. Update Description and/or Pick Sequence.
3. Click Update All.
