Order Acquisition and Scheduling Overview

Orders represent the source of customer demand. These can be actual sales orders or demand identified from a material release. In a material release we can expect forecasts and specific demand requirements such as a receipt authorization (RAN) that specifies a specific item and quantity to be delivered at a specific time.  Acquired orders are then scheduled for production using a production calendar.  Click links below for details.
