The Material Flow Plan describes the flow of material to the Point of Use on a Production Line.  The values defined in the Material Flow plan will be used in FMRP Kanban calculations. Multiple parts can use the same Material Flow Plan. 

  

• Frequency/Replenishment Interval - defines the amount of lead time in hours required to transport material to the point of use from the supplying location after the supplying location receives a signal.
• Float - Time based safety stock. Float defines the amount of inventory  (expressed in hours) that the replenishment interval is potentially extended due to internal process variation, delivery or signal frequency constraints, etc.
• Internal Order Method - Method used to order parts to the consuming MRP Area. 
• MRP Pattern - Defines how material requirements are sent to the supplying MRP Area (frozen period, forecast days, etc.). 
• Standard Daily Production Hours - Standard production hours/working time per day.
