Creating a Trading Partner

A trading partner defines a company's relationship to another company. The Trading Partners session is used to maintain your list of suppliers, customers, transport providers, etc. The session is also used to maintain each company's address, phone number, primary contact and role in the supply chain.


To add a new trading partner:


  1. Using the Advanced menu, click People > Trading Partners.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the Partner ID.
  4. Enter the Partner Name.
  5. Select the Partner Type. (i.e. Customer, Manufacturer, Supplier, etc.)
    1. Defining the partner type will populate the appropriate drop down selection menus in the system.

  6. Enter the Address.
  7. Enter the Inspection Default.
  8. Enter the Default FOB.
  9. Enter the Default Transport Method.
  10. Click Create.
