To backflush and re-sync a production line: 

1. Access Production Plan session.
2. Select the MRP Area.
3. Click Backflush and Re-Sync. The number of orders that have been backflushed will display below the Backflush and Re-Sync button. 

What happens during backflush and re-Sync? 

• Finds all orders >= to checkpoint 6000 (represents the end-of-line).
• Creates parts gross to backflush which creates inventory transactions to adjust inventory at the line.
• These orders are then set to backflushed and removed from the schedule.
• Selects all orders less than 6000, then sorts and loads into the Production String.
• The complete Production Schedule is then cleared.
• Orders in the Production string are then re-slotted starting with the next available slot.
• Complete.
