D. Prostitutes as Front-Line Sex-Script Researchers.
Odd as it might seem initially, the group of
people who already have
extensive information about the sex-scripts of (some) men are
prostitutes.
Women who are hired by men to have sex
probably know more about these men’s sex-scripts than their wives.
These men might not want to share their sexual fantasies with their
wives
because some of their sex-scripts are rather strange.
But they have no such qualms with women they hire for sexual services.
And some prostitutes specialize in unusual sex-scripts,
providing whatever the men need in order to achieve orgasm.
Prostitutes are paid to act out the sexual fantasies of their clients.
So it could be useful for a retired prostitute
to recall
some of the interesting sex-scripts encountered in her profession.
Of course, this would not be a random sample of men.
But a prostitute who sold sexual services for a number of years
would have thousands of first-hand experiences to draw upon
in making her comments on the sexual fantasies of men she has known.
And the more articulate and thoughtful of prostitutes
might even begin to organize the sex-scripts they have enacted
into categories that could be useful for scientific sexology.
Their extensive experience with the sex-scripts of thousands of men
puts prostitutes years ahead of sex-researchers starting from scratch.
The sexual games and sexual fantasies best known to prostitutes
would be a treasure-trove of information for sex-researchers.
