Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry On-Line Handbook

Chapter 2
Worship

Donna DiSciullo, UU Chaplain to Princeton University
and Director of the UU Young Adult/Campus Ministry Office

The "UU Community at Princeton" is made up of
Princeton University students (both grads and undergrads),
an alum in her 40's who is also on staff,
two students from Westminster Choir College which is in Princeton
and a couple of students from Rutgers University.
One of the reasons I think it works is
that WORSHIP is at the center of our experience.
As part of the worship service, after the theme or topic
has been introduced with readings, reflection etc.,
then I say...."I invite your response."
That allows everyone to come to the topic from their own experience.
Unofficial mentoring relationships have developed
and the groups seem to enjoy each other.
But, alums and other YA's who are not students need to realize
that this is a Campus Ministry so the programming
will be focused on the issues pertinent to student life.
