Parisian Sights
Following the tour we spent a few days enjoying the sights of Paris, including the Hôtel des Invalides, where (among others) Napoleon's tomb resides; the iconic Eiffel Tower; various churches (Notre Dame, St. Chapelle) and museums (Musée d'Orsay, Louvre); gardens, etc.

Approaching the Invalides

the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower...what else?

Tower trivia: it was built as a
temporary structure for an exhibition;
and during WWII, members of the
Resistance sabotaged the tower elevators
to prevent anyone in the German command
from being photographed atop the now
symbol of France. I guess none of them
wanted to walk up.
