Rosa Campos Fernandez is the Co-Principal Clarinettist of the Hallé Orchestra, Manchester.

The program offers free music education and performance opportunities for girls and boys, ages 8 through high school.
During her studies at the Institute, she made her debut as a soloist at the National Recital Hall in Taiwan.
We are a unique after school program that offers professional choral training, voice and piano lessons, music theory, leadership development, and mentoring to children and teenagers.
She was also awarded the Third Prize at the Taipei International Chopin Competition and the Taiwan Young Artist Competition. Each chorister receives individualized attention in a dynamic, creative, structures, and hands-on setting from caring teachers who are accomplished professionals in their areas of instruction. In September 2000, Rosa went to the Birmingham Conservatoire to study Clarinet and Bass Clarinet with Anthony Pay, Joan Enric Lluna and Michael Harris.

She continued her studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire, with Malcolm Wilson and Philip Martin, graduating with Distinction in both her Masters for the Arts and Diploma in Performance Studies. Our students come from Englewood and surrounding towns, representing a wide range of cultural communities, and from all traditions.Highlights of this past year have included a performance at Bergen PAC with the Oscar-winning ensemble ”The Chieftains,” and singing at various venues in New York City, Newark, Asbury Park, and Trenton.
After her studies in England, she entered the Musikhochschule in Freiburg in Germany where she studied with Professor Vitali Berzon and graduated with the highest award (Auszeichnung). Our students participated in the Royal School of Church Music America’s Newport, RI course and the Episcopal Choral Camp at Cape May. The St Paul’s Choir School program is based on the the idea that all children are able to sing, and we welcome all between the ages of 8 and high school. She has also won first prizes at several competitions, such as the Beryl Chempin Beethoven Prize, Birmingham Conservatoire Piano Prize, Renna Kellaway Piano Recital Competition, Symphony Hall Recital Prize and the Ludlow Philharmonic Concerto Prize. Children do not need to be members of a church; rather, they must agree to participate regularly in all rehearsals, services and concerts. She also gained 1st place in the NYOS STAFFA Award, after reaching the final and performing in Fivie Castle, Aberdeen.
More recently she received the 2nd Prize at the 7th Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano Competition (2004) in Italy and was also selected by the concert association in Castilla y León to participate as a chamber musician in a concert tour in 2005.

All students receive free vocal instruction in exchange for a small stipend to encourage their growth as professional musicians.
After leaving the Conservatoire she took classes with Hans Deinzer, Anthony Pay and Pascal Moragues.
She also has been invited to perform as a soloist in many countries including Taiwan, UK, Italy and Germany. Rosa has maintained a busy life as a soloist and chamber musician, playing concerts in Sweden, Italy, Spain and England.
Her most recent project is with pianist Pei Chun Liao, with whom she toured Taiwan in March 2010.
Pei-Chun has recently been working as Assistant Piano Professor at Taipei Municipal University of Education, the Taipei Chinese Culture University and the Tainan National University of the Arts in Taiwan.
