A very simple electronic key code lock circuit that require few external components can be constructed using this schematic diagram . This low cost key code circuit use six switches that needs to be pressed to open the lock, but only two switches at a time.
An essential property of this electronic code lock is that it works in monostable mode, i.e. Three sets of switches SA-SC, S1- S8 and S3-S4 are pressed, in that order, to open the lock.

The circuit will generate slightly different tone by pressing each switch from S1 to S7 and work like a piano. And tell me which type of resistor the 10k resistor is it's variable or simple the circuit shows the resistor is variable but you have used a simple resistor ? When the project is finished you will have a working simple circuit that can produce a variety of tones. You can also change tone of all switch from S1 to S7 at once by adjusting the variable resistor R9. And if it is one, how do you connect pin 1 to the gnd?yes it is, i didnt have one so left it out, the pins are conected line in the schematic and the arow represents the middle pinanyway to sustain the notes for a period of time?only by holding down the button, unless you used a microcontroller or much more complex circuithow much does this cost in the end?i allready had the speaker and buttons, 555s cost around 20p and the rest of the components are cheap so probably 2 or 3 pounds if you bought it all separatlythank you very much ..
