In his ministry at First Baptist Jason helps to create a sense of family and belonging among all the members of the church, while at the same time striving to find new ways for the church to reach out into the community to welcome those who all too often feel not welcomed by the church. A native of Appleton, Chris holds a Master in Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Philosophy from Hamilton College, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at UW-Madison.  His performance interests include under-represented and under-performed composers, Renaissance and Baroque music, and new music. Julia Mueller is a Madison area native who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and has devoted the early part of her career to working with children and families in the city of Philadelphia.
Linda is married to Joe.  They count their blessings every day as they cherish their son, his wife, five grandchildren, and extended family. Students told me they were attracted by Ann Louise's encyclopedic knowledge of popular tunes, gained from years playing 5-star hotel piano bars from Scandinavia to Japan.
At Piano Bar 101, Christensen covers vocal technique, ear training, performance tips and repertoire, with group-singing giving way to passing the microphone around for spots of solo belting. The piano was the center of home entertainment and nightlife in America at the turn of the 20th century. Jason moved to Madison in April of 2012 from College Park, Maryland, where he was founding and Senior Pastor of New Leaf Church. He is active in the music theatre community around Madison as a pianist and music director. She has completed coursework in music education at Indiana University and is trained in Musikgarten and Level 1 Orff Schulwerk. After three years working in the Social Work field, she is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College. This educational form of bodywork allows the student to amplify his experience of himself and to move toward a state of more complete self-awareness.

Commissions include works sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio, the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Composers Forum and the St. He holds a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies (Cum Laude) from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, and a BA in Theater from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has presented at the state and local level on early childhood music and movement and has served on the board of ECMMA (Early Childhood Music and Movement Association) and FABM (Fellowship of American Baptist Musicians). Ann has combined these two disciplines to concoct teaching methods that are streamlined, efficient and fun. The Dresden on Vermont was credited with a revival of campy, raucous sing-alongs after it appeared in the movie “Swingers” in 1996. Researchers found that elders with dementia increased their memory capacity by singing show tunes three times a week, compared to those who just listened.
Jason also helped to create and manage an Emerging Church internship program at Wesley Theological Seminary. Mark previously acted as the Resident Music Director for Windy City Music Theatre, a theatre company in Chicago that produces shows for youth, adult, and all-ages casts.
Beth is married and has three boys; she also works as a speech language therapist in the Madison Metropolitan School District and teaches early childhood music and movements classes as well as group piano lessons. The last great gay piano bar, The Other Side, closed after 40 years of operation in Silver Lake in 2012. Now there’s a class for piano bar fans — except there's no cover, no drinking, and no snifter-glass-for-tips.
Wynn-Anne has over 70 piano publications, with original repertoire ranging from vocal works to full orchestra. Her passion for promoting creativity in young musicians reflects in her choice of publications with Alfred, including the series called “Creative Composition Toolbox”.
He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Organ Performance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s Degree in Music Theory from UW–Madison. Rossi has lectured throughout the United States and beyond its borders on a variety of subjects.
