Make a wish list for gifts, suggest standard repertoire, let students know which books to buy, boast about pieces you've mastered: Music Lists are as unique as the musician!
I’ve checked out the method,  and I found it very good to prepare instrumentalists and voice  majors for piano proficiency exams. Or maybe you are going to start an older student who tells you right away they want to learn how to play  classical music and do not want  any silly pictures or songs about soccer or unicorns. Beginning Piano Repertoire is printed in black and white with  no pictures (except illustrations in the theory book) and is very business-like. If you are looking for a method book for children by Keith Snell and Diane Hidy,  try Piano Town, also published by Kjos. Susan Paradis Piano Teaching Resources · Music, games, teaching material, and iPad ideas for piano teachers.

It includes attractive original music by Keith Snell taking students from Middle-C position to C, F, and G Five-Finger positions.
It is designed to provide the elementary level reading, technique, and theory skills required for preparatory-level piano literature.
When I checked at a music store for Beginning Piano Repertoire, Progressive Pieces for the Elementary Pianist,  they didn’t have it, but ordered it for me.
Sometimes piano teachers are asked to help out a student who is going to major in an orchestra instrument or voice, and the student has  no piano training.
Each piece is short, one to four lines, and there are no words.  There is a  theory book,  a technique book,  and a repertoire book, which is the main lesson book and includes a CD with duet accompaniments by Diane Hidy. Since this book doesn’t have a level on it, you could use this with a transfer student who needs to start over. The included CD contains accompaniments composed and performed by Diane Hidy which motivate and support the learning process.
The clean layout without instruction allows teachers freedom to adapt it to each student and each situation. They come to us to get a head start on their piano proficiency exams and they need to learn piano as quickly as possible.
Each accompaniment is presented at three different tempos with different levels of prominence to the solo part. The Repertoire book provides students with short, progressive pieces starting on middle C position.
We do not use or store email addresses from this form for any other purpose than sending your share email. The last piece, Twilight, has students moving to new 5-finger positions with each four-measure phrase: C Major, F Major, G Major, and F Minor. Each accompaniment is presented in at least two tempos, a practice tempo and a performance tempo.

Beginning Piano Technic and Beginning Piano Theory support the pieces in the Repertoire book. Feel free to recommend similar pieces if you liked this piece, or alternatives if you didn't.
