Setting the priority of a scheduled backup
You can set the priority of a scheduled backup and limit the number of simultaneous backups the schedule will perform.
To set the priority of a schedule:
1. Click the Backup Schedules tab.
2. Right-click the schedule for which you want to set a priority, and then select Set Priority.
3. From the list of backups assigned to the schedule, select the backup you want to prioritize.
4. In the Backup set priority box, enter the priority of the selected backup. The number in the # column changes with the number field. The set will sort automatically by priority (lower number = higher priority).
5. To limit the number of backups that are run simultaneously by the schedule, select the Schedule check box, and then enter the number.
NOTE: The DS-Client database has an advanced configuration parameter called MaxSessions (Windows) and MaxSession Number (Linux) for maximum concurrent activities that affects the number of backups that can be scheduled at one time. For Grid DS-Clients, the limit is the sum of all the MaxSessions parameters from all running nodes.
6. Click Save.
7. Click Close.
