Resuming a Salesforce data restore process
The uploading stage of a Salesforce restore can be time consuming as the DS-Client uploads the restored tables and/or items to an online Salesforce account. If the process stops for any reason during the uploading stage, you can resume the restore.
Before you start to restore a Salesforce backup, consider the following:
Select the Save temporary database file in local storage for resume check box.
Before stopping a Salesforce restore process, determine the current stage of the process by checking the Description in the real-time Activity Monitor.
NOTE:  A Salesforce restore process can be resumed only if it is stopped during the uploading stage.
1. On the Restore menu, click Resume restore. A list appears with all restores of Salesforce backups for which the option Save temporary database file in local storage for resume was selected. A cache is created for each table in the local storage. you can view the parameters DS-Client is using for each restore in the list, including a summary of the options selected for the restore.
2. To view more information on a specific restore process, select a backup from the list, and then click Shows status.
3. Click OK.
NOTE:  Before resuming the restore process of a backup, select the backup and verify the details . If you notice discrepancies, do not resume the restore. You can start a new restore with the correct settings.
4. Click Resume.
