Configuring the properties of a backup
You can modify some properties of a backup after it has been created. Backup options define the way a backup is handled during the backup process. Some options are specific to the type of server that is being backed up.
1. Click the Backup Sets tab.
2. Select the backup. whose properties you want to configure.
3. On the Sets menu, point to Backup Sets, and then click Properties.
4. Use the following tabs to configure the backup properties.
 
Properties tab
Function
Items
Displays the backup items and item options.
Retention
Displays the backup retention rules.
Options
Displays the backup options.
Notification
Displays the backup notification options.
Schedule
Displays the backup schedule.
Set Info
Displays information about the backup including the backup name. If the multitenant feature is enabled, you can select a customer to which to assign the backup.
Share
Displays information about the backup share.
Connection
Displays the credentials used for connection to the backup source or dump for certain kinds of backups.
Database
Displays the credentials used for database backups.
Advanced Options
Displays the backup advanced options (Windows DS-Client).
5. Click OK.
