Configuring the keep alive settings
The keep alive settings limit the amount of idle time on DS-User, after which the connection with the DS-Client is terminated.
To configure the keep-alive settings:
1. On the Setup menu, click Initialization.
2. Click the Keep Alive tab.
3. In the Send “Keep alive” probes when a connection is idle for box, enter the amount of time, in seconds, that the connection must be idle before the DS-User starts sending keep alive probes to detect the status of the DS-Client.
4. In the Send “Keep alive” probes every box, enter the interval, in seconds, at which the DS-User sends keep alive probes until it receives a response or the maximum number of probes have been sent.
5. In the Terminate Connection after trying box, enter the maximum number of retries before the DS-User terminates the connection with the DS-Client.
6. Click OK.
