Configuring a storage device
The DS-Client must be configured to connect to each storage device that will be used for a snapshot transfer. The storage device must be running and be accessible by the DS-Client.
To configure storage device:
1. On the Snapshot Manager menu, click Register Storage.
2. Do one of the following:
To add a storage device, click New.
To edit a storage device, select the device, and then click Edit.
NOTE:  To delete a storage device, select the device, and then click Delete.
3. In the New / Edit Storage dialog box, do the following:
a) In the Vendor box, select the storage device type. Only NetApp is currently supported.
b) In the Name box, type a name for the storage device.
c) In the Address box, type the IP address of the storage device.
d) In the Port box, enter the port number for accessing the API. The port must be open on the storage device.
e) In the User Name box, type the name of a user on the storage device who has permission to execute the API commands on the storage device.
f) In the Password box, type the password for the user on the storage device.
g) To use the HTTPS protocol to access the API, select the Use HTTPS Protocol check box. The protocol must be enabled on the storage device.
h) Click OK.
4. Click Close.
