Configuring a snapshot retention policy
You can configure the retention policies the DS-Client can apply to the snapshots taken by the Snapshot Manager. Each configured snapshot transfer can be assigned to one retention policy. A retention policy is applied at the volume level so that all snapshot transfers for the same volume have the same retention policy.
IMPORTANT: Once retention is enforced, deleted snapshots cannot be restored.
To configure a snapshot retention policy:
1. On the Snapshot Manager menu, click Snapshot Retention.
2. Do one of the following:
• To add a retention policy, click New.
• To edit a retention policy, select the policy, and then click Edit.
NOTE: To delete a retention policy, select the policy, and then click Delete.
