Configuring a backup for BLM
Backup sets are configured to save a specific number of generations. After a backup item reaches this number of generations, the oldest will be overwritten with each new generation backed up.
When you configure a backup for BLM, DS-Client will instruct DS-System to send a copy of the oldest generation (that is about to be overwritten) to the BLM Archiver.
To configure a backup for BLM:
1. Click the Backup Sets tab.
2. Right-click the backup you want to configure for BLM, and then select Properties.
3. Click the Options tab.
4. Select the BLM (Infinite Generations) check box.
5. Click OK.
