Scheduling validation
You can schedule several system validation tasks on the DS-System. Each system validation task can be performed on all backup sets, or on the backup sets of a specific DS-Client. For more information, see: “Running system validation”.
To schedule validation:
1. On the Setup menu, click Schedule. The Schedules dialog box appears.

2. To add a scheduled task, click Add. The New Schedule Wizard appears.
NOTE:  To edit a scheduled task, select it and click Edit.

3. On the Select Schedule Type page, select Validation, and then click Next.
4. On the Select Schedule Time page, do the following:
a) Under Detail Type, select the frequency of the schedule.
b) Under Daily Frequency, specify when the schedule will start, and optionally, when to force the scheduled activity to end.
c) Click Next.

5. On the System Validation Option page, do the following:
a) In the Generations to validate box, select Latest or All to choose the amount of files to validate.
b) In the Concurrent validation processes box, type the number of validations you want to run at the same time. You can select from 1-99, and the default is 3.
c) In the Additional validation threads box, type the number of validations you want to run in parallel. You can select from 0-99, and the default is 0.
d) Click Next.

6. On the Select DS-Client(s) page, do the following:

Under Validation Selections control, click Add to add the DS-Clients you want to validate in this scheduled validation.
7. Click Finish.
