Specifying the server

The Select the source for this backup set screen appears.

1. Select the Sybase tree.

2. In the Path field, enter the IP address (or network HostName) of the Sybase server followed by the Adaptive Server port, in the following format:

Sybase\IP_Address:Port_Number

For example: Sybase\12.34.56.111:5000

NOTE: The port number must always be after the IP address, separated by a colon. The default port for Sybase Adaptive Server is 5000.

By default, your current user login to the DS-Client is used to connect to the Sybase database, and for the connection to the selected computer.

3. Enter valid database credentials with the “sa_role”. To specify alternate credentials, refer to the F1 Help.

4. Click Next.
