Specifying the restore destination

Working with backup sets : File system backup sets (Windows) : Restoring a File system backup set : Specifying the restore destination

• In the Select Restore Location screen of the Restore Now Wizard, select the destination location for the restored data and click Next.

• Original location: This option is selected by default. Data will be restored to the original backup source location. Any existing files of the same name will be overwritten.

• Alternate location: Select this option to restore data to a location other than the original backup source. For more information, see “Restoring data to an alternate location”.
