Restoring Microsoft Exchange Server data to an alternate location
1. In the Restore Now Wizard, perform all necessary steps to specify the items to restore.
2. In Select Restore Location screen, select Alternate Location.
The >> button becomes available.
3. Click >> beside the location field.
The Alternate Exchange Server Wizard screen appears, displaying the available servers on the network.
4. Browse, select the server to which you want to restore the database, and click Select.
If Ask for Network Credentials is selected, the Enter Network Credentials screen appears.
5. If prompted by the Enter Network Credentials screen, enter the user name and password to connect to the server and click OK.
6. In the Restore Now Wizard, click Next to proceed to the Select Restore Performance Options screen. See “Specifying performance options (Windows DS-Client)”.
The following provides information on subsequent screens:
Select Restore Options screen: “Specifying restore options”.
Select Restore Reason screen: “Specifying the reason for the restore”.
7. In the Select Restore Reason screen, click Finish to start the restore.
