About multitenant DS-Clients
The multitenant feature allows you to assign a backup set to a specific customer when creating a new backup set or updating the properties of an existing backup set. When you assign a backup set to a customer, the backup set is displayed under the customer name in the Backup Sets tree. By default, administrators and backup operators have access to all existing customers in DS-Client and can assign backup sets to these customers as required. Regular users only have access to customers within their own group or to customers who have been assigned to them by an administrator.
After you have assigned a backup set to a specific customer, you can generate one of the following reports for the customer:
• Backup Groups Report (This type of report is available to administrators only.)
• Backup Items Report
• Backup Sets Report
• Backup Trends Report
• Backup Users report
• Backup / Restore Report
• Restore Activities Report
• Restorable Volume Report
• Statistical Summary
