Configuring the DS-Client : Configuring the DS-Client settings : Configuring the setup information

Configuring the setup information
You can update the settings that you configured during the initial DS-Client configuration, re-register the DS-Client with the DS-System, enable the forwarding of encryption keys to the DS-System, and resend or delete encryption keys.
If you need to change the DS-Client hardware or install the DS-Client on a new machine, you must re-register your DS-Client. Before doing so, do the following:
Contact your service provider and ask them to disable the Requires Registration option for your DS-Client on the DS-System.
Arrange a time with your service provider to perform the re-registration process so that they can open a registration window (approximately 5 minutes).
NOTE:  For more information, see “DS-Client to DS‑System Authentication”).
To configure the setup information:
1. On the Setup menu, click Configuration.
F1 Help: "DS-Client Configuration Setup Tab screen"
2. Click the Setup tab.
3. To modify an existing DS-Client configuration, click Modify. See section “Performing the initial DS-Client configuration”.
4. To re-register the DS-Client with a DS-System, click Register Now, and then click Yes to confirm. A message is displayed indicting whether the registration was successful.
5. To forward the encryption keys to the DS-System, select the Allow encryption key forwarding to DS-System check box. This allows your service provider to create a valid CRI file with the encrypted keys so they can recreate a working version of the client.
NOTE:  If your service provider enforces mandatory safeguarding, DS-Client will not be able to connect to DS-System until you enable this feature.
6. To forward or delete the encryption keys, click Forward Now or Request Deletion.
7. Click OK.
