Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia Today in the Franciscan calendar, we celebrate Blessed Louise of Savoy. She was born on the Feast of Holy Innocence in the year 1461 to the Duke, Blessed Amadeus, the Duke of Savoy. And she was to become more distinguished in the world for her innocence and her sanctity than for herself. Her mother wanted her to wear the costly vestments or the garments and the jewelry that was becoming her nobility, her rank as a princess. And of course she obeyed, but underneath she wore a garment of hair cloth. And she always used her... external finery as a reminder to adorn her soul with virtues. I was in the doctor's office a week or so ago and there was this magazine laying on the table and on the cover it says, Dressing for your body. And, you know, of course there's a picture of a lady on there. And I just thought, you know, the world, how sad. They should have, they should write an article entitled, Dressing for your soul. And dressing with dignity. But Blessed Louise had inwardly decided to consecrate herself to God. But her uncle wished her to marry this princess, a very God-fearing, good man. And she saw God's will in that. And she did. And when she got to his court, she reformed the behavior. And she was the leader of the ladies there. And if any men were found using unbecoming language, they were fined. They had to give an alms to the poor. So she, and her husband was very pleased that she brought this about. And they used to go to the dances. They used to go to the dances. That were given at court. But not to participate, just to keep an eye on things. To make sure there was nothing disorderly or out of, nothing all unbecoming that would take place there. And when her husband died, she joined the poor Claire's. And became a model religious. And then she spent the rest of her life there in the convent. So that's why in the opening prayer it said that she was a model for all walks of life. For singled women to be able to follow her example. Because she was a model for all walks of life. Before she was married. And wives. And also for religious. So God graced her with three vocations. So today we can look to her and pray to her for an example. For the world. And that she pray that. That she pray that. That she pray that. And for five days in the church, people wake up and said. And start living their lives for the love of God. Are you we're you know. Oh.
