Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia Praised be Jesus and Mary Many times in man's insecurity and worry He hoards money and possessions And in this morning's first reading St. Paul is encouraging the Corinthians to be generous There's no need for insecurity, there's no need for worry That God will take care of them And it is God who in his generosity blesses us With all that we need And if we have more than what we need We should follow God's example and be generous With those who are in need Who don't have as much as we have And he says God loves a cheerful giver Actually He The more we share The more we will be blessed We know that God is not outdone in generosity So it's a win-win situation We're afraid to part with what we have But when we do We're more blessed than if we would keep it to ourselves And our Lord warns us though Not to be generous Just so that other people will take notice Yes Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus I remember one story where this very wealthy man was convinced to give a large donation to the church. And he was actually very happy about it. But then he said, you know, wow, I get a tax write-off too. But that's not to be our motive. Our motive is to give back to God who has given to us in the first place. We wouldn't have anything to give if it were not for God's generosity toward us. So let us share as God has shared with us. Alleluia.
