Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia Praised be Jesus Christ In our first reading from the book of Sirach, we see that God is all just He always repays us for good works And does so to the seventh degree That is, to the perfect degree In the Jewish mentality, we know that seven was a perfect number And what can be more perfect than the abundant generosity of God And what can be more perfect than the abundant generosity of God And what can be more perfect than the abundant generosity of God Who towards us for the little that we do for Him in comparison I know some people may be thinking that They don't see the rewards That all they have is suffering and sickness and pain and sorrow in their lives And children who have And children who have Left the faith But even these Are great blessings And can make great saints out of us If we didn't have these trials Would we be praying as much as we do? Would we have the opportunity to think of God And realize just how dependent we are on Him And realize just how dependent we are on Him So anyway our sufferings And our problems Will nourish us We would be praying in faith And we would do anything we can To bless Him So even our sufferings Our heartaches, our headaches Our backaches Any sorrow or pain Can be united to the suffering of Jesus we know And offered to our heavenly father And He will reward that abundantly And we may not even see that in our lifetime make you conversion of sinners on the other side of the world that we'll never know about. Yet we know, even from the gospel, Jesus says those who leave everything receive a hundredfold. So the greater the sacrifice, the greater the cross, the greater the trial, the greater the graces. So let us thank God for his abundant generosity toward us.
