[00:00] The crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening to the Word of God that He was speaking, and He was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret. Jesus is preaching, they're listening attentively,

[00:35] and then He has this idea to get in a boat and go out a short distance, and the boat happens to be, there were two boats there, the boat He went into happened to be the one belonging to Simon, and He says, "Go out a short distance, and I will preach from there in the boat of Simon," making you think of Simon Peter being the head of the Church and

[01:06] the boat representing the Church and Jesus speaking from the Church through the apostles, through the ministers of the Church, our Lord speaking, and after He was finished speaking, He tells Simon to go out into the deep, go out into the deep and throw out your nets for a catch, but Jesus, we were working hard all night long, we were exhausted, and we

[01:39] caught zero, we caught nothing. We caught nothing, Jesus was not with them, we can do nothing without Jesus, but Simon says, "But because You tell me to, I will." So they put out their nets and they catch such a huge number of fish that the nets are tearing and when they put the fish in the boats, the boats are almost sinking. Simon had to call the

[02:12] other boat or the other workers in their boat, and both boats are sinking from all the fish. It's a reminder, reminds us too, of the catch of fish after the Resurrection when Jesus said on the shore, they didn't know it was Him, "Throw your nets on the other side of the boat," and they catch 153 large fish, and the net wasn't tearing then, and the boat

[02:44] wasn't sinking then, after the Resurrection, showing the, you know, after the death of Jesus' Resurrection, grace into the world, the Church is strong and it's established on the bark of Peter, on Jesus the cornerstone, stronger, and so the apostles are amazed at this great number of fish, they're fishermen, they know how to fish, and yet Jesus seems

[03:16] to know better than them, and they catch all this fish after catching nothing, zero, the night before, Jesus is the great fisherman, and they recognize that Jesus is more than more than a prophet, more than just someone who had a lucky guess about the fish. "Depart from me, Lord, I am a sinful man." Shook them to the core of their fisherman being, how

[03:51] good a fisherman our Lord is, how He knows everything, He knows everything, and He's powerful, and they get this abundant fish. Father Jesus, have Him with you, and abundance is there, our Lord's power is with us. Do not worry, do not be afraid, Simon, you other fisherman, do not be afraid when you're with me, from now on you'll be catching men. The

[04:22] whole purpose of it is to symbolize that we're catching, we're going out to catch men to save souls, to save as many souls as we can through your preaching, your ministry in the Church. This touches all of us too, we all should be mindful of catching men, praying for salvations of souls, helping everyone into the bark of Peter, the Church, helping everyone to find Jesus, to hear the gospel, and to live for God, find the truth through the gospel.

[05:02] So we need to do our part, we need to defend the Church, proclaim the Church under Peter and the apostles, the bishops, the Pope, to save as many souls as we can to all, through our good example, through our holy life, through our following the will of Jesus.
