Praise be Jesus and Mary, now and forever. 
Today is the liturgical feast of St. Andrew the Apostle, and we know that Our Lord's Church is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic. Our Lord's Church will always have these four distinguishing characteristics given to it by Our Lord, and which it can never lose. There's one more characteristic that we can speak of when it comes to the Church. Pius XII tells us about it in his encyclical on the mystical body of Christ.
He says, it is the will of Jesus that the whole body of the Church, no less than the individual members, should resemble him and also in his passion. What wonder if on this earth, she, like Christ, suffers persecutions, insults, and sorrows. Our Lord's Church, his mystical body, his spouse, his bride, must resemble him even in his suffering. And I would say even in that disfigurement that Our Lord manifests in that passion, that disfigurement is prophesied by Isaiah and fulfilled by Our Lord. Many were astonished at him, Isaiah says, his appearance so marred beyond human semblance, in his form beyond that of the sons of men. In his passion, it was faith alone that could still recognize Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is the God-man. Many were astonished at him, at what happened to him during the Passion, at what he allowed others to do to him during his Passion, at his appearance beyond that of the sons of men, beyond human semblance. And yet faith told us, yes, this is the Messiah, the Son of Man, the God-man himself. So the Church must be configured to Christ in his passion. And I would say even in that disfigurement, the Church resembles Christ even in his disfigurement. She is always one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic, even when that oneness, the Church is one, even when there's schisms away from the Church. Holy even when there's so much sin amongst the members of the Church, when she's disfigured, when she's seemingly disfigured by the sins of the members of the Church. Catholic even when so many. It's not universal, unfortunately, in the numerical sense. So many reject the faith of the Church. The vast majority of mankind rejects the faith of the Church. And apostolic even when so many reject the faith handed down by the Apostles and prefer errors, lies, and heresy. Even when the Church is so disfigured, we must recognize her as Christ's Church, one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic. And just as we are now accustomed, you know, when we see our Lord crowned with thorns or crucified, we know it is the Messiah. We are accustomed to recognizing him even in his disfigurement. So we should always be able to recognize the Church even in that disfigurement, even when there is schism and heresy and sin and rejection. She is always our Lord's Church, the Bride of Christ. And Our Lady is the one who, in the Passion, kept the faith in our Lord. And we must ask her to help us keep the faith in our Lord and in His Church, even in trying moments of Church history, like the one that we're going through now in particular. May Our Lady, therefore, help us, especially now, to recognize the Church, to stay in the Church, and to love the Holy Catholic Church.
