of original sin and then our own personal sins and all the trials and tribulations that will come
in this life in order to attempt to steal us from the love of God. And so the Lord is asking us to
exchange this for something greater that is his yoke. His yoke is easy and his burden is light
because his yoke ultimately is the means by which we rid ourselves of our sinful inclinations
and our sins, that is the sacramental life of the Holy Mother Church and particularly where it
reaches its pinnacle in our communion with the Lord in the Eucharistic mystery by which the
Lord intends to give each and every one the grace to work out their salvation in fear and trembling
in this life, serving him with all our hearts.
With all our minds and with all our souls and soul and asking us to take upon his yoke, the Lord is
telling us to rid ourselves of the burden of our sin and come to him and seek his forgiveness for
his yoke truly is easy and his burden is light because it is ultimately what the human heart
desires and if we are unwilling to take the Lord's yoke upon ourselves, then ultimately we are
unwilling to be with him for all the years.
eternity in heaven. And so as we enter more and more into this Advent, into the season of Advent
and approach the mystery of Christmas, we have a reason to be more grateful, more thankful to the
Lord for that wonderful event that will first transpire in the cave at Bethlehem and ultimately
through the apostolic labors of the church will be spread to all peoples and to all times and to
all places by which the Lord through the church will seek and attempt to touch all souls with his
grace and most especially to claim each soul through the sacrament of baptism for his kingdom
here on earth in order that we may truly be with him for all eternity in the kingdom of heaven to
come. And so let us resolve to meditate more and more upon this mystery of the incarnation of God
into the world and let us rid ourselves.
Of all that keeps us from this mystery, all that seeks to distract us from this mystery, let us
truly focus on the fact that God truly was merciful to mankind, merciful to the point of sending his
only begotten son in order that that son may deliver his sacred humanity in sacrifice on Mount
Calvary for our sakes. And let us always remember that this mystery is always and everywhere
first initiated by God. And so let us really focus on the fact that God truly was merciful to mankind
first initiated by the mother of God who in giving her fiat gave permission in a certain sense for the
son of God to come into the world. And so we must constantly turn to the mother of God for she
ultimately has only one mission. That mission is to give her son to each and every soul who seeks him
in humility and in meekness of heart. And so we must always and constantly turn to the Immaculate
Virgin Mary for all that we seek.
From God because she truly is our life, our sweetness and our hope. And she is the reason that we can go
forward and that we can always have that hope of even if falling into the most serious of sins, we always
have that hope that the mother will mediate, grant us the grace of repentance, and then we can again
begin to serve the Lord. And so there is no reason to despair in this life for God and his mother have
done all things.
Perfectly well and so each and every one, all times and all places have that hope of eternal salvation. If only we have
that disposition of heart by which we humble ourselves, recognize our weaknesses and turn to the one who alone who can
help us in this life in order that we may enjoy him for all eternity in the life to come.
