In our modern culture, so devoid of the divine understanding, we see that everything seems to be in opposition.
We are told that the rich are against the poor, that the black man is against the white man, that the woman is against the man.
It seems to be a constant struggle, a constant fight.
And yet, in today's first reading, we learn that that is not how God had created mankind.
For he created mankind, man and woman, black, white, and every other possible combination.
He created them, not in antagonism to each other,
but complementary to each other.
And so we learn that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God.
And these accidentals that we often focus on, the color of one's skins, the wealth in their pocket,
and all these things are superficial means.
But again, they are driven by a spirit that is contrary to the will of Christ.
They are driven by the spirit of opposition, and so they are driven by Satan himself.
And so we must constantly strive.
To seek to drive him out as the Lord would drive the demon out in today's gospel.
And we see very clearly why the Lord did so.
He did so in response to this Gentile woman's extreme in deep faith.
For unlike the children of predilection, that is the chosen people,
she understood full well that the Messiah was truly present and that he had the power to drive demons out.
And so we must be thoroughly convinced that it is no efforts of our own
that will drive him out.
the demons out of our land. It is no effort of our own that will win those who are in the camp
of the enemy over. It is the efforts of Christ, and insofar as we give ourselves to him through
his mother, to be used as instruments in the conquest, that is, in the driving out of the
demons. For all false philosophies in some way come from the very mind of Satan himself.
Mankind has a choice. He can choose, as scripture says, a blessing or a curse. When he rejects the
doctrine of Christ, the philosophy of Christ, he necessarily begins to accept the doctrine
and philosophy of Satan. And so, let us always remember that our Lord did not come, as it were,
except to establish peace, and most especially, he came to establish peace in those creatures
most dear to him, those creatures by which he would give up his life in order to reclaim them.
Transforming them from children into wrath unto children into God. And so, let us always be
thankful, and let us not fall for these false philosophies that would pit the earth against
man. Indeed, it has become so insane that some scientists are now promoting the notion that
Mother Earth, if she chose, could flick humanity off of her like a dog flicks a flea off his back.
That is, to ascribe,
personhood to the created order itself. And so, we see very clearly this modern pantheism and the
violence that it always takes. For indeed, we have nothing to fear from the inanimate objects.
We have only things to fear from he who seeks the destruction of souls. And we do not need to fear
him if we remain close to Christ. And we remain close to Christ insofar as we have entrusted
ourselves entirely to his mother. For she...
She and she alone has been entrusted with the order of mercy. And she and she alone is leading the soldiers in battle against the conquest of evil. And we know from faith that she is completely and totally victorious. And she will, in the end, have the day. For her immaculate heart will reign over the society of man. And so, let us strive always and everywhere to remain close to our mother so that we do not cooperate in the work of God.
Look at how we see the great destruction of the demons as so often we see being done in our day, in our age. Most especially, every time we see this notion of opposition promulgated. And not only promulgated. But we are told that it is the means to find peace. We cannot find any peace unless we seek that peace outside of Christ. There is no hope for mankind except in the religion of Jesus Christ. For God and God alone has the right to reveal to mankind how he is authentic.
worshiped. All other forms of worship outside of the Catholic Church are defective forms of
worship. It does not matter whether they are Christian forms or outright forms of paganism.
In some way, they are defective because in some way they reject the doctrine of Jesus Christ.
It may be in a small way or in a large way, but ultimately, if those who are outside do not,
as it were, through the efforts of the true members of the mystical body, if they are not
incorporated into the mystical body, ultimately they are on the road to perdition, as Cardinal
Newman so eloquently pointed out in his conversion when he noted that for 15 years his soul was in
grave peril, for intellectually he said he had known that the Catholic Church was the true Church,
but his pride would not permit him to humble himself and enter, and after entering into the
Church, he would not be able to enter the Church. He would not be able to enter the Church, but he
would not be able to enter the Church, and after entering into the Church, he would not be able to
enter the Church. He would declare that there are no halfway houses in this world. You cannot set
up an institute that seems to be the middle road between Catholicism and paganism. He pointed out
one is either on their way to the Catholic Church or, he said, they are on their way to perdition,
and so let us always strive to seek that we do everything to make sure that we remain on the
road to heaven and that we do everything to witness to others that the royal road is the
road of Holy Mother Church, for it is in her that Christ continues to do his work of casting
out the demons. It is through her that Christ continues to show the world its false philosophies
and also continues to show the world a way out of these false philosophies. That is why she is
truly the pillar of truth, and so we must be thoroughly convinced that truth is in the Catholic
Church, and outside of her there are truths that remain, but ultimately they remain in the Catholic
Church for one purpose and one purpose only, so that we as members of the mystical body may build
on those truths in order to draw all souls into the kingdom of God, so that the kingdom of Satan
is thoroughly and totally an empty camp, a routed camp, so that in the end there are no souls
abiding in that camp, but all souls are found in the camp of Christ, and ultimately there they will
receive the happiness of eternal life in God's kingdom of heaven.
