Salve, Regina, Mater Misericordiae. When our Lord today speaks about the light that should not be put under a bushel basket, but rather on a lampstand, vote of mass in honor of our Holy Mother, Claire. And her name means brightness. And she was bright as the liturgy tells us in the collect from today's mass in such a way that God allowed the brightness of her virtues to shine before men and that we pray that in the light of those virtues we will be guided into everlasting life, that we could follow in her footsteps. That is really one of the reasons why we venerate the saints, why we read the lives of the saints, because we are looking for examples of those who completely accepted Christ and lived his message and did it in a very practical way in daily life. And so if we are being faithful to the Lord and living a life of grace, if we are living a life of penance and humility, repenting of our sins and taking the opportunities, that God gives us to grow in grace by being faithful to our daily duty and accepting the crosses that come our way, we will not necessarily shed light where we go by means of the convictions that we have that show forth in the choices that we make, by the peace that we have in the midst of suffering and sorrow, by our willingness to carry each other's burdens, by our willingness to stand up and do what is right, when others will not. It's not something that we have to try to, you know, create, but it's something that will happen if we are following in the footsteps of Christ in the light of his grace and the light of his love. So let us ask our Holy Mother, Claire, to give us that strength and conviction always to believe with our whole heart in the message of the God, in the gospel, and in the teaching of the church, and the humility to allow that light to shine, not because we are trying to attract anybody's attention, but because we are trying to direct others to Christ, who is the Savior of us all. Being in the way that Jesus Christ is. Or that we are also light. truths are never hidden, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, verses, and that you shall receive my unveil.
