You've already grabbed a brush and a roller, but what comes first: paint trim or walls?
Knowledgeable painting contractors have agreed that there's no right or wrong way. Yet, a lot of DIY painters prefer the following order:
First, paint the trim.
Then, paint the ceiling.
Finally, paint the walls.
One of the reasons trim comes first is that it's much easier to apply tape to. The tape keeps safe any handy work and if something goes wrong, the painter can touch it up later on.
Whatever you choose to paint first, select a brush to paint narrow surfaces like the trim and a roller for broad and flat walls.
On the contrary, painting the walls first and seeing the "big results" is much more satisfying and offers you the energy boost to go on with the rest of the painting task!
