You've already gotten a brush and a roller, but what comes first: paint trim or walls?

Knowledgeable painting specialists have agreed that there's no right or wrong approach. But a lot of DIY painters choose the following order:

First off, paint the trim.
Then, paint the ceiling.
Last, paint the walls.

One of the reasons trim comes first is that it's much easier to apply tape to. The tape keeps safe any handy work and if anything goes wrong, the painter can touch it up later on.

Whatever you decide to paint first, pick a brush to paint narrow surfaces like the trim and a roller for big and flat walls.

On the other hand, painting the walls first and checking out the "big results" is more pleasing and gives you the energy boost to keep up with the rest of the painting project!
