From the ABI Anthony H.N. Schnelling Endowment Fund

Nancy Rapoport: "No Bucks, No Buck Rogers"

The Anthony H.N. Schnelling Endowment Fund supports annual scholarships, law and business school competitions, the ABI Resident Scholar program and has funded more than $2 million in research grants. Professor Nancy B. Rapoport (William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas) served as ABI’s VP-Research from 2013-2016 and makes a strong case for supporting the Endowment.

Coming: An Evening at the Grove

Plans are under way for an evening of networking and support for the ABI Endowment Fund! The event will be held in October, on a date and time soon to be determined at The Grove in Houston. The short intimate program will feature a conversation with two local bankruptcy Judges — Judge Marvin Isgur and Chief Judge David R. Jones.

Sponsored by Alix Partners and Gray Reed & McGraw P.C., this is an event you won't want to miss. Further details will be posted to abi.org/events, in the August edition of the Developments newsletter, and in the September ABI Journal.

Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop Advisory Board Achieves 100 Percent Endowment Participation

The advisory board for the Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop has once again distinguished itself by achieving 100 percent participation in giving to the Anthony H.N. Schnelling Endowment Fund. The campaign was spearheaded by Soneet R. Kapila (KapilaMukamal, LLP), Jerry M. Markowitz (Markowitz, Ringel, Trusty + Hartog, P.A.) and Robert P. Reynolds (Reynolds, Reynolds & Little). This is the best performance of any program board for the fourth year in a row! ABI thanks them for their generous support and stellar example.
