In three years, David Gamzeh and Akiva Glatzer have amassed a small empire of nursing homes in Pa. and beyond.

Here's a brief timeline of their growth.

The beginning

In Feb, 2015, the pair found Priority Healthcare Group in Valley Stream, New York.

First steps

In May, 2015, in their first purchase, Glatzer and Gamzeh buy a pair of nursing homes in Massachusetts and Connecticut for $11.1 million.

Going north

In Aug, 2015, the pair buy a nursing home in Chicopee, Maine.

In Nov, 2015, Glatzer and Gamzeh buy a New Jersey nursing home for $9.9 million.

Expanding west

In early 2016, Glatzer and Gamzeh expand west. Each takes a 15% stake in two Minnesota homes.

In June 2016, Glatzer takes a 19% ownership stake in a Massachussetts home.

Pennsylvania expansion

In their largest purchase, Glatzer and Gamzeh buy 14 Pa. homes from Reliant Senior Care in Aug, 2016.

Two months later, the state Attorney General announces a $2 million settlement agreement with Reliant over allegations of poor care.

In Dec, 2016 Gamzeh and Glatzer each take a 5% ownership interest in seven Ohio homes.

Golden Living takeover

In another major purchase, the pair buy 11 Pa. homes formerly owned by Golden Living in Feb, 2017.

Like Reliant, Golden Living had recently been sued by the state Attorney General over allegations of poor care.

In March, 2017, Gamzeh and Glatzer take an undisclosed ownership interest in three Oklahoma homes.

That same month, the pair buy a Vermont home for $6.9 million.

In Sept, 2017, the pair buy two more homes in Pa.

In May, 2018, Glatzer and Gamzeh buy another two Pa homes.

Those homes were formerly operated by Skyline Healthcare, which went into recievership in April.

As of spring 2018, Glatzer and Gamzeh appear to have full or partial ownership interests in at least 44 nursing homes, most of them In Pa.
