Solving a Quadratic Equation Algebraically and Graphically (CAS)

Open a new Calculator Window.

Use the solve function to find the solutions of the quadratic equation.

The solutions are shown on the right side of the screen.

Create a Graph window.

Input the same quadratic function whose equation you solved algebraically.

Graph the function and use Trace to find the zeros of the function

where the graph intersects the x-axis.

Compare the results from the Calculator and Graph windows

by pressing Control and the left or right arrow keys to toggle from one window to another.
