Open a new calculator window.
Create a summation template by pressing the Library key,
the number 5, and selecting Sigma, as shown.
Find the sum of the first 10 odd integers by inputting the values as shown.
Find the square root of the result and you will see that it is a perfect square.
Repeat this process for 20 and 30 odd integers.
In each case finding the square root of the result results in a perfect square.
Finally, generalize the results by finding the sum of the first n odd integers.
