Open a new calculator window.

Create a summation template by pressing the Library key, the number 5, and selecting

Sigma, as shown.

Find the sum of the first 10 integers by inputting the values as shown.

Compare this to the product obtained by multiplying 10, 11, and one half.

Repeat this process for 50 and 100 integers.

In each case compare the results to the product as shown.

Finally, generalize the results by finding the sum of the first n integers.
