Composite Functions: Linear to Quartic
Open a new graphing window. Define linear function f1 in terms of a variable.
Press Enter to graph it.
Now define quartic function f2 in terms of f1. Press Enter to graph it.
Notice how it still shares the same y-intercept as the original function.
Define quartic function f3 that results in a vertical translation of the original function.
Now define quartic function f4 that results in a horizontal translation of the original function.
Change f1 and see how the corresponding functions change,
while they maintain their relative distance from f1.
