Hey, what’s up? Really?! Well, far out, I guess. No, no, that’s cool. I know where you’re coming from. So... what? That? Oh, you know, it’s just another one of my wacky ideas, you should know by now that I can’t help myself when it comes to tinkering. Well, if you really want to know, it’s a photo-voltaic parasol that I’m working on. Yeah, well it does look like an umbrella, but technically an umbrella is for use in the rain and this gizmo here is most definitely meant to be used in the sun, the sunnier the better. Sure, it would work anywhere, but it would be especially handy in sunny climes. It would be perfect for the beach, just for starters. If you’ve got sun, we’ve got power. Hey! that could be the slogan. I mean, this, in theory at least, could have practically unlimited uses. Obviously mobile computer users are my primary targets. Just pop-up your parasol pull out your laptop and plug in. I mean, I know not everybody likes to work outside, but I think that enough people do to make this a viable product based on this market alone. Look, you see this thing would serve the triple function of keeping the computer user in the shade, keeping the computer screen free from glare, and, most importantly, powering the computer itself. No worry about the battery running out, no need to recharge. C’mon, don’t you think it’s a great idea? And that’s just one use! Right, just think of it. I mean, gardening just for starters. A big free-standing model could power hedge-clippers, weed-eaters, or even a lawn mower! Hey, wow, great idea! I didn’t even think of that. Outdoor cafes could be the biggest market of all! It would be a great attraction to people who like to sit outside while they work at their computers, sipping their coffee while they work. Hey! I just thought of something else. You know the way that a lot of those cafe parasols advertise beer and liquor and such, right? Well, we could co-market the photo-voltaic parasol with computer manufacturers, and internet companies and the like. We can tell the companies that they can have their names blazing in all the hip spots. We can have them bidding against each other for the rights to slap their logos on the new photo-voltaic parasol that will be de rigueur from coast to coast and around the world. I can see it now! So, I guess I’m going to have to make you a partner on this venture since you came up with that idea, huh? NO? You’re sure you don’t want to reconsider? Well, thanks, and I’ll keep you posted on it’s progress to a household name. Yeah, you too. Take care.
