2019 Holiday Food Basket Event
December 19-20
This is an example of the food basket that each of the 80 families received on December 20th.
The Interact students from LTHS Helpers on delivery day!
Lockport Rotarians making this event such a success. With the
help of the Interact club from LTHS we were able to bring
13,000 lbs. of provisions from
"Pallet to Basket" in a 24 hour span.

2018 Food Baskets!
On December 15th our club provided groceries to 85 families who were facing some sort of hardship this holiday season. A big thanks to the Rotarians as well as the LTHS Interact Club who supplied 24 hard working students for the processing of over 6 tons (Yes! 12,000 lbs!) of food and supplies.

A beautiful day in September to prepare the dictionaries
for the third graders in the Lockport and Homer schools.
To date the Rotary Club of Lockport, IL has distributed over 4000
dictionaries to the areas students.

Bill Passaglia presented to the club today (8/9/18) information on
the Orphan's Refuge Honey Farm in Zambia. The farm was founded by Bill
in 2017 after a mission's trip he took to Zambia with Hands on Africa.

The Rotary Garden has produced quite the bounty so far this year. The photo below shows two bushels of tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and cucumbers that were harvested today by Master Gardener Jim and brought over to the SOS Family Village.

Reno Caneva Visits with the Club at our July 19th Meeting
Dr. Reno Caneva, author of the new book "Dellwood Chronicles", describes the journey in developing his work. The book took 5 years to write, however this pales in comparison to the nearly 40 years of research he put into the book. This journey "took me places I thought I'd never be."
Dr. Reno Caneva is father of Lockport Rotarian Dr. Daryl Caneva and grandfather to Dr. Andres Caneva. Copies of "Dellwood Chronicles" can be obtained by contacting the author at r.caneva@comcast.net or at the Lockport Township Park District 1911 Lawrence Ave., Lockport, IL.
