A small but talented group of MC Scow sailors competed in 72nd Charleston Yacht Club's Open Regatta. The committee boat for course A was located just off of Fort Sumpter in the Charleston Harbor and a steady breeze of 8-12 knots out of the west south west made for some tight competitive racing.
Jeff Annis sailed flawlessly the first two races before the rest of the fleet could put it together and provide some serious competition. Tommy Harken and Lenny Krawcheck were the most consistent all afternoon showing off their local knowledge and sailing skills to the rest of the fleet. All in all it was a beautiful summer day on the water.
Sunday was George Scarborough's day to take over the regatta, but unfortunatley he didn't get his chance as the wind didn't cooperate and racing was cancelled.
